- Add tamarind water and boil.add the cooked dal and mix well.bring to boil in Low flame and let it boil for 5 minutes.Add jaggery or sugar.if you want bit of sweetness.I have the jaggery syrup readily available.so a tablespoon of the same was added.boil well
- For tempering,heat oil in a pan,add mustard seeds,fenugreek seeds and rice.when it starts to splutter,add sliced shallots.when it s translucent,add Asafoetida powder and sauté well till aromatic.Add dry chilli and curry leaves.sauté for few seconds and pour it into the curry.mix well and serve.
